Reine Almqvist
Reine Almqvist (born 12 Apil 1949) is a Swedish former association football striker and coach.
Player
Professional
Almqvist played for IFK Göteborg, Åtvidabergs FF, IFK Sundsvall, In 1980, he joined the Seattle Sounders of the North American Soccer League, playing five games during the outdoor season and another seventeen during the 1980-1981 NASL indoor season. He then returned to Sweden and played for BK Hacken, Ope IF and Djerv 1919.
National team
Almqvist was capped four times for Sweden.[1] He was the Allsvenskan top scorer in 1969 and 1977.[2]
Coach
Almqvist coached IF Olsfors, Kullens BK, BK Häcken, Djerv 1919, Fredrikstad FK,[3] Helsingborgs IF,[4] IFK Göteborg, Landskrona BoIS, Bryne, FK Tønsberg and Västra Frölunda IF.[5]
